Nicole grew up in the SF East Bay Area. She started gymnastics at the age of seven and dance at nine. She studied tap, jazz, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Polynesian at Adrienne’s Dance Studio. She began performing Tahitian dance at weddings and luau parties during high school. Nicole began salsa social dancing in San Diego because it was the only 18+ dance club.
In 2011, she received a B.S. in Environmental Systems: Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from UC San Diego. She received a minor in dance and studied contemporary, ballet, belly dance, and yoga. Nicole moved back to the SF Bay Area in the fall of 2013 to find environmental work. She joined her first salsa company, Afinkao, a week after moving back. Her other hobbies painting, soccer, and taking her pet rabbit and snake on walks.
