Yoko grew up in Japan and came to the US to study at University at Kansas.Shortly after graduating from college, she moved to the Bay Area for a job.
Her love for salsa began when one of her friends took her salsa club and from that moment, she was instantly addicted to it.She started dancing salsa in 2007 and later joined Afinkao in 2010. Before she joined Afinkao, she trained at Montuno and performed for Rising Stars (LA congress) and E&E artistry (SF congress).
Aside from salsa dancing, she enjoy eating, doing yoga, traveling, watching tv series, and playing with her dog, Wasabi. She currently works for creative agency in SF as web developer.
